Southwest Medical Resources was founded in 2004 by Don McCormack and a team of manufactured trained, highly specialized service engineers. Our headquarters is based in Ontario, California, in a 140,000 square foot warehouse that stocks over $15 million in parts inventory.

Over the past 9 years, we have grown to become a worldwide independent service organization, providing an array of services, projects, technical support, and refurbished mobile and fixed site system including General Electric MRI, CT and PET CT imaging equipment.

From purchasing parts and services to repairing and refurbishing systems, hospitals and imaging centers partner with us for our direct competitive prices. SWMR offers many options to our customers, with opportunities to purchase, lease, rent or even joint venture. Our Team

Don McCormack – Chief Executive Officer

Don is the founder and CEO of SWMR. Prior to starting SWMR in 2004 as a medical imaging service company Don graduated from Keller School of Management/DeVry University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Don then gained highly technical experience in medical imaging during a 15 year career with General Electric Healthcare. His time there culminated in his leadership of the West region installation and special projects team, who’s function was to completely manage the process of installing a 53 million dollar annual backlog. Don’s vision and leadership of SWMR has produced a three company core group with a mulit-million dollar annual revenue, holding a majority stake in four companies and a minority stake of three other companies.

Russ Caldwell – Chief Technology Officer / Chief Financial Officer

Russ is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. Russ joined SWMR in July of 2005. As an owner, he helped Don grow the business. He is also responsible for all back office administration support and is incorporating a custom designed software package for accounting of Field Service Work, Part Sales Opprotunities, Repair Operations and Inventory Management to streamline reporting, invoicing and payroll. Currently, he is completing an extensive "remote diagnostic unit" that is capable of monitoring our customers’ diagnostic imaging equipment and proactively notify our service organization of their status and predict necessary repairs before the customer is aware.

Chuck Stegenga – Director of Support Services

Chuck is the Director of Field Service of SWMR. Prior to joining SWMR in 2007, Chuck was the Vice President of CT Operations of KPI Medical in Riverside, California. Mr. Stegenga received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University and his Radiation Safety Officer certification from University of Texas. Chuck Stegenga brings 35 continuous years of experience in both engineering and management; some notable positions previously held include Facility Operations Manager for ADAC Medical Systems, Pacific Regional Service Manager for R Squared Scan Systems, and the CT. National Tech Support for General Electric Medical.
